Sometimes when eight people live under one roof the house gets really messy.  Lived in.  You know. So yesterday I sent out a group text addressed to my most favorite people in the world:

I gave them an errand for the day.  Their responses were classic.  I don't know if you have seen the short video clips that you can send by text before?  My kids love to use them.  They don't put any words with them…because the expression on the video says it all.  I thought you would get a kick out of their replies…

This is how they came back to me:

Meg translation:  YESSSS!!!

I will be honest, I died laughing every time I heard my text alert go off.  Seriously, these responses are perfect for my kids.  And I probably don't need to tell you which of the six did NOT get their job done before they went to bed.  Yep, you still can't walk through the front hall without tripping over 500 pairs of shoes and DO NOT go in the guest bathroom anybody!!  Thanks Grace.

I thought about those responses this morning.

Because this week I am trying to seek an errand from the Lord every single day.  To be prepared to do His work in the life of one of His children.  I am trying to open my heart each day to discover The One.  And to be ready to fit the errand in before I go to bed.

I can't help but question myself:

The Lord has an errand for me today.

How will I respond?
