What's Next?

It was as I read D&C 136:37 that this whole journey came full circle for me... "Therefore, marvel not at these things, for ye are not yet pure; ye can not yet bear my glory; but ye shall behold it if ye are faithful in keeping all my words that I have given you, from the days of Adam to Abraham, from Abraham to Moses, from Moses to Jesus and his apostles to Joseph Smith..."

I thought to myself, this year I have read all His words.

Every one of them!  From Adam to Abraham to Moses to Jesus to His apostles to Joseph Smith.

This year!

Now I must learn to be faithful in keeping them.

It is that thought that has occupied my mind for the last several weeks.

The keeping...

I wonder if you are up for another journey?

Because many of you have asked in the last several weeks if this is the end of the blog.

It has been a remarkable adventure.  It feels like we have accomplished something worth celebrating (don't worry...the celebration will take place in the blog tomorrow!!)  And one of the best parts  has been walking with all of you along the way.

I don't want to say good-bye.

I hate endings.

So, instead of this being the end, I wonder if it could be the beginning...

An invitation for a new journey.

A journey of faithfully keeping.

What does it really mean to faithfully keep all His words?

My thoughts expand to include His words that have been given to His Saints today.  I think of General Conference addresses.  The Doctrine and Covenants, which we will be studying in Sunday School this year.  The doctrines that will be taught to the youth that need find their way into FHE lessons at my house.  And we can't forget the words that fill up the pages of the Standard Works...the stories we have fallen in love with this year.

Essentials for faithfully keeping.

Could this blog become a resting place for those who are trying to faithfully keep His words?

All of them.

I think it could...

So, starting next week the blog will undergo a construction phase as new tabs are added to the top.  Ideas are already flowing!  (Don't worry...for those of you who started the journey and are not quite finished yet, just keep reading...everything you need to follow and finish the Standard Works in one year will remain on this site.)

But more will be added...and there will be a blog with a scripture posted Monday through Friday as usual starting January 1, 2013.  The blogs will focus on how we can keep His words and find their application in our every day life.

His words.

The essentials.

I can't wait to begin this adventure of faithfully keeping.

I hope you will continue the journey with us!!
